Are you a dedicated Respiratory Therapist looking for your next adventure? Do you excel in providing exceptional care in an acute-care environment? Our healthcare partner in beautiful Pagosa Springs, CO, is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves delivering comprehensive respiratory assessment, treatment, education, and diagnostic services across the hospital, working closely with providers and the multidisciplinary care team.

As a key member of the cardiopulmonary department, you will:

• Provide respiratory treatments and manage mechanical and noninvasive ventilation
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and conduct patient assessments
• Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing
• Function independently in an acute-care setting, caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Participate in overnight on-call coverage during the 7-day work rotation

Requirements for this role include:

• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory therapy program
• Current NBRC credential as an RRT or CRT
• Current Colorado Respiratory Care Practitioner license in good standing
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience in an ED/acute-care hospital setting, including adult and pediatric patients
• Intensive care and ventilator-management experience
• Ability to function independently
• ABG draw and analysis experience
• Need 2 years experience in setting

Preferred experience includes:

• Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) experience, including spirometry and/or box pulmonary function testing
• Experience with walk testing and methacholine challenge testing
• Cardiac diagnostic testing experience, including Holter monitors, stress testing, and stress echocardiograms
