Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking initial histories and performing detailed physical examinations.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring to communicate these effectively to patients and healthcare staff.
• Perform daily patient rounds and follow up on care plans to track progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Write prescriptions for medications, order lab tests, and interpret the results to guide treatment decisions.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, conferring with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive discharge summaries, including post-care instructions, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices in women's health to provide superior care.
• Fulfill additional duties as required to support operational efficiency and enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners work primarily with adult and adolescent female patients across a variety of health issues, including reproductive health, prenatal care, menopause management, and chronic conditions. We emphasize a patient-centered approach that prioritizes education, empowerment, and overall wellbeing, ensuring each patient feels valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• National Board Certification in Women's Health or a related specialty.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in Texas, along with a Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Established collaborative practice agreement as required by Texas state regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of direct clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required, we highly value candidates with experience in women's health settings. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a strong commitment to patient education and preventative health strategies will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
