Work Environment

The practice is located in Grand Prairie, Texas, in a well-equipped assisted living facility designed for ensuring comfortable and accessible healthcare delivery. Working onsite, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure a seamless patient experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations to evaluate women’s health issues accurately.
• Initiate and document a detailed plan of care, ensuring consistent follow-up to monitor patient screening and preparation.
• Perform daily patient rounds to provide ongoing assessments and adjustments to care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Write and manage orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in treatment strategies.
• Interpret lab results and diagnostic tests to facilitate timely decision-making in patient care.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and other care providers to coordinate comprehensive care and maintain the highest quality of medical service.
• Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, recommendations, and referrals accurately in patient charts to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate essential post-discharge care instructions to patients to empower them in their recovery and health management.
• Perform related duties as required, adhering to the standards outlined by regulatory bodies, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will serve a diverse patient population, including women of all ages with varying health needs. You will address issues such as gynecological care, reproductive health, menopause management, and other women-specific conditions. Your ability to build rapport and trust with patients will enhance their comfort and engagement, significantly impacting their health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program with National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area.
• A current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in Texas.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a related role, particularly in women’s health.
• Experience in an assisted living or long-term care environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing patient data accurately.
