Key Responsibilities

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, your daily responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive initial patient histories and performing thorough physical examinations with a focus on women's health needs.
• Developing, implementing, and communicating individualized plans of care to patients, ensuring patient understanding and engagement at every step.
• Performing daily patient rounds to monitor health progress and update care plans as necessary.
• Requesting laboratory tests, writing medication orders, and interpreting test results to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Collaborating with attending physicians, nursing staff, and specialists to deliver holistic and seamless patient care.
• Preparing discharge summaries, noting prescriptions, and providing follow-up care instructions to ensure a smooth transition to post-care.
• Maintaining updated and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic caters primarily to female patients ranging from adolescence to menopause and beyond, providing care for a variety of conditions such as hormonal issues, pregnancy care, gynecological disorders, and wellness check-ups. The role emphasizes building long-term relationships with patients, allowing for deeper understanding and support in their healthcare journeys.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner position, candidates must have:

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area.
• A current and valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license along with a Registered Professional Nurse license.
• A collaborative practice agreement filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Preferred Experience

While one year of clinical experience is required, we encourage applicants with previous experience in women's health, obstetrics, or gynecology to apply. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, as well as concierge medicine delivery models, will be advantageous.
