Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, executing individualized treatment plans aimed at giving patients the best chance for recovery. Specific responsibilities include:

• Implementing tailored therapy exercises prescribed by the Physical Therapist to promote patient recovery.
• Conducting gait training, mobility interventions, and therapeutic exercises to enhance patients' physical capabilities.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical records, and effectively communicating updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Enhancing patient safety and promoting motivation during rehabilitation exercises to foster independence.
• Collaborating with nursing staff, wellness coordinators, and caregiving professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
• Educating patients and their families on the use of assistive devices, home exercise programs, and wellness strategies to ensure continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Maintaining punctuality and accuracy in clinical documentation to streamline patient assessment processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Concentra, you will primarily work with diverse patient populations that include individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey.
