Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a well-equipped hospital setting in Cranbury, New Jersey, where you will collaborate closely with a licensed Physical Therapist and other health professionals. You will work a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with minimal travel, as you will primarily treat patients within our facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring each patient's unique needs are addressed.
• Engage patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions aimed at enhancing strength and balance.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records in our clinical documentation systems.
• Foster a safe and motivating environment that promotes functional independence in daily routines for our patients.
• Conduct educational sessions for patients and their caregivers on the use of assistive devices and home exercise programs tailored to individual recovery goals.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, wellness, and caregiving staff to ensure holistic care and effective communication regarding patient progress and needs.
• Remain knowledgeable on best practices and innovations in physical therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support a diverse patient population, including seniors in various stages of recovery, individuals recovering from surgeries, and those managing chronic conditions. Your role will significantly contribute to enhancing their mobility, preventative care, and overall quality of life, reinforcing the importance of ongoing rehabilitation efforts.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory to ensure patient safety and compliance with health protocols.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• A demonstrated passion for working with seniors is vital, as you will contribute to their well-being and rehabilitation process.
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, showcasing both initiative and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in assisted living, senior living, or geriatric rehabilitation settings.
• Prior familiarity with fall prevention strategies, mobility aids, and wellness programming is highly desired, enabling you to provide comprehensive care solutions for our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
