Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00 | Weekend rotation required | Every other holiday | Assignments up to 26 weeks available | 4x12 schedule may be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start; travelers have up to three attempts, with specific passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms on the adult exam and a minimum score of 80% on both adult and pediatric exams
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an emergency or acute care setting
• Comfort working with both adult and pediatric emergency populations
• Flexibility and adaptability to float to other units as needed
