As an Employee Relations Advisor , you will support both the Boswell and Dell Webb facilities . You will be part of our One Team approach to HR in both locations. You will have your own book of business. The support you bring will include consultations with leaders and employees, investigations, and performance management. You will also have an impact on our newest Banner Health employees as you help to facilitate new employee orientation. This position will primarily work the day shift; however, night shift availability will be needed. POSITION SUMMARY This position is an entry level role that performs the general day to day activities of employee and labor relations.The core functions described are typically lower in complexity and are performed with close oversight by leader, Employee Relations Consultant (ERC), and Employee Relations Center of Excellence. This role may also support a smaller service line or area as compared to an ERC. Investigates and resolves employee relations concerns impacting the work environment. Role provides multiple facility leaders and Human Resources Consultants with counsel and support in employee relations investigations to include compliance with equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, training and development, and compliance with State and the Joint Commission human resources standards. CORE FUNCTIONS Assesses situations and environments affecting employee relations, and provides leaders with advice and recommended courses of action based on operating guidelines, policies, guidance from leader, and applicable federal and state laws. Reviews and analyzes facility team members and operational statistics on HR compliance related concerns, complaint investigations, external charges, comply line trends, turnover, and team member engagement to identify trends, activities, and potential issues within each department. Provides timely assistance in addressing leader/team member requests or complaints, and keeps involved parties informed about status. Role requires recording and trending of data to aid in formulating conclusions. Maintains required confidential documentation within case management system; including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports. Inputs all complaints and investigation resolution into assigned spreadsheet. Acts as a resource to staff and leaders in the area of employment and labor practices related to Human Resources regulations such as EEO, Affluent Action, ADA, NLRA, etc. Develops training for leaders, Human Resources staff and team members to ensure consistency and compliance within regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures. Partners with other system functions for consistent delivery of training. Stays abreast of activities in other areas of Human Resources and positively and reliably represents all of HR to facility staff and leaders. Appropriately conveys concerns and issues to stakeholders. Collaborates with all HR teams to enhance and facilitate performance improvement, maintain effective communication between all areas of HR and entity operations and to develop and implement system, region, entity and department level goals and objectives. Interacts with all levels of leadership and team members, often relaying highly sensitive messages, coaching and counseling leaders in appropriate application of programs and policies, and dealing with highly complex, and sometimes emotional situations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a knowledge of business or human resources as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance/accounting, human resources or related field. Ability to exercise good judgment and be sensitive to team member needs while balancing the goals of the company. Strong, verbal, written and analytical and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently, critical thinking skills.
