Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups via teletherapy and in-person sessions as needed.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and mental health challenges, adapting techniques and approaches as necessary.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions in accordance with clinical guidelines, addressing various topics such as anxiety, depression, and relationship dynamics.
• Encourage and support clients through therapeutic interventions aimed at fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation and case notes to track client progress and ensure continuity of care.
• Stay abreast of trends in the counseling field and attend training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. An active and valid license as a Professional Counselor is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling rapport-building and trust with clients and colleagues.
• Capacity for collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for clinical documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a counselor or psychotherapist within an outpatient setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with various populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and multicultural groups.
• Familiarity with different therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

Waves for Good offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and availability. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide an extensive benefits package that includes:
