Location: Two exciting location options: Austin, TX (on-site) or Washington, DC area (hybrid, with remote flexibility while our DC office is being established). Occasional travel for customer meetings, industry events, and demonstrations.

Note: Candidates must have 4+ years of government capture, proposal management, or government business development experience in defense, dual-use, hardware, or deep technology. Hands-on experience managing government contract proposals from bid/no-bid decisions through final submission is essential. U.S. citizenship is required.

Job Description

• Lead government capture and proposal efforts from initial pursuit strategy through successful submission.
• Develop capture plans, proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and compelling win themes.
• Manage RFI and RFP responses, white papers, and government contract proposals.
• Coordinate proposal reviews, technical contributions, and pricing inputs with engineers, finance, and leadership.
• Support federal contracting opportunities involving SBIR/STTR, OTAs, CSOs, BAAs, and FAR/DFARS solicitations.
• Translate complex AI, software, and technical concepts into persuasive, accurate proposals.
• Build and maintain reusable proposal content, past performance materials, and best practices.
• Collaborate with strategic partners on subcontracting opportunities and joint proposals.
• Track government opportunities, manage pipeline updates, and communicate progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in government capture, proposal management, or government business development within defense or related technology industries.
• Proven experience managing government proposals from bid/no-bid through final submission.
• Strong knowledge of compliance matrices, proposal timelines, formal reviews, and federal acquisition processes.
• Experience developing government RFP/RFI responses and technical proposals.
• Excellent writing, organization, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Experience using CRM systems and AI-powered productivity tools.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with defense software, autonomy, robotics, aerospace, Shipley/APMP processes, or startup environments is a plus.
