Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans based on clinical best practices.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing an array of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Collaborate intricately with case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care, facilitating seamless interprofessional communication.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives and educational programs, promoting mental health awareness, understanding, and resources within the Laredo community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from different cultural backgrounds. Many clients may face challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Your role is pivotal in guiding them through their healing journeys and empowering them with coping strategies that enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related fields is required.
