Make an immediate impact supporting student success by lending your expertise in speech-language pathology and assistive technology! This hybrid, part-time contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with high school students while utilizing your skills in both remote and on-site settings.

As the dedicated SLP, you’ll primarily serve one student at the high school level, providing targeted Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support—specifically eye gaze programming, calibration, and maintenance of an Accent device. You’ll be on-site for two hours weekly to collaborate directly with the student and educational team, while completing the remainder of your 20-hour work week through remote consults, indirect AT support, and evaluations for private school referrals.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC), if experience hours are documented
• Demonstrated experience with AAC devices, especially supporting eye gaze technology and Accent device software
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary educational team
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct SLP services on-site for up to 2 hours weekly to a high school student using an eye gaze device
• Providing ongoing technical support for programming, calibration, and maintenance of AAC equipment
• Collaborating with the student, family, and school staff for effective AT integration
• Completing eligibility evaluations for private school referrals as assigned
• Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation
