Description Visual Sound is seeking a Director of Sales based out of our Corporate Office in Broomall, PA. As Director, you will be responsible for driving all aspects of the selling process including, but not limited to, new business development; attainment of revenue and gross profit goals, and participation in the planning and execution of a defined growth strategy for assigned regions. This position entails mentoring and supporting our Corporate and K-12 Account Management teams by scheduling performance meetings, providing specific and constructive performance feedback, and supporting sales techniques (prospecting, marketing, presentations, etc.). The Sales Director will also be responsible for educating Account Managers with a presentation of strategies, regular meetings, and ensuring that they have a sound process for pre-sales activities including call planning and preparation. Responsibilities Oversee the Corporate Sales activity on a daily basis Setting guidelines for prospecting, meetings, reporting, etc. Accompany the Account Managers on calls and provide coaching and guidance Supporting trade shows that the company exhibits at or is involved in Attending training for certifications, as necessary, such as Avixa and manufacturer trainings Ensure integrated efforts and provide feedback and direction to staff regarding strategic planning, goals and objectives for overall company performance, individual performance, employee retention and acquisition Be responsible for administration and distribution of timely sales reports and projections as required Communicate sales issues to other members of the management team Be responsible for the determination of staff development and training, in addition to working with management to regularly evaluate the development progress Be responsible for the development and implementation of a sales plan. This plan should include market research, sales projections, territory or vertical market assignments, key and targeted account identification and new and existing customer development program Create a procedure for submitting high quality proposals to customers Ensure that all evaluations of the sales staff are done according to policy Attend job meetings as required to speak on behalf of the company as conditions may require and determine the point at which the sales staff should require your involvement with the customer Position Requirements Previous Corporate oversight K-12 and Higher Ed sales experience Proven leadership experience Ability to manage multiple offices/times Must possess solutions-based selling knowledge (AV technology preferred) Overall sales process leadership Previous prospecting and CRM management experience Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization Ability to motivate and effectively lead large teams comprised of sales and administrative personnel toward a common goal Energized self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results-oriented approach Minimum High school diploma or equivalent At least 5 - 7 years’ Sales Management experience preferably in the AV/VTC/UCC or similar industries CTS certification preferred Demonstrated track record of selling Video Conferencing, Managed Services, and System Design and Integration business preferred Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Compensation Range Location Visual Sound - Broomall EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
