GL Accountant

GL Accountant Beaverton, OR (Onsite) $70,000 - $80,000 + Excellent Benefits LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected nonprofit healthcare organization to recruit a GL Accountant. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to join a mission-driven organization. Reporting to the Controller, the GL Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and reporting requirements. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where their contributions directly support community-focused services. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and general ledger reconciliations Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Review, analyze, and correct financial reports as needed Assist with audit preparation and auditor requests Provide support with accounts payable activities during peak periods Maintain accounting records and ensure proper record retention Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and special projects Support process improvement initiatives and enhance accounting efficiencies Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience Nonprofit accounting experience Familiarity with payroll accounting and financial systems CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms Why Join This Organization?
