Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients experiencing mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. This includes understanding their symptoms, history, and personal narratives.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective interventions.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and involve them in their treatment processes, ensuring they understand options and strategies to enhance their mental health.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on feedback and clinical assessment, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment progress in line with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing training and workshops to stay informed about new research in mood disorder treatment, contributing to continuous professional development.

• Advocate for clients within the healthcare system, working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues and promoting awareness about available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Century Road Counseling Center, you will work predominantly with individuals facing mood disorders, including depressed mood, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from a diverse array of backgrounds, and your empathetic approach will be crucial as you help them navigate personal challenges, developing a trusting therapeutic relationship with each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment practices, particularly in CBT and DBT.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive clinical outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for building rapport with clients of varying backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in an outpatient setting or similar mental health facilities providing therapeutic services to individuals with mood disorders is highly regarded. A track record in therapeutic settings utilizing both individual and group therapies will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
