Key Responsibilities

• Utilize your clinical expertise to conduct thorough mental health assessments, accurately identifying the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, deploying evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a personalized approach that respects the diverse backgrounds of our clients.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, fostering a sense of belonging and community for participants facing similar mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals within our multidisciplinary team, ensuring coordinated care that addresses the psychological, emotional, and social dimensions of our patients' lives.
• Respond promptly to mental health emergencies, offering crisis intervention services as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Wellness Care Psychological Center, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse issues. Our clinic serves clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that you will encounter an array of perspectives and experiences, providing a rich environment for professional growth.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Texas.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and construct effective treatment plans.
• Experience providing therapy to varied populations, utilizing both individual and group therapy frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a robust commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and a willingness to engage with new technologies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling, particularly within an outpatient setting.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational sessions is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
