Work Environment

This role is fully remote, providing you the flexibility to offer therapy from the comfort of your location while supporting our patients in the San Antonio area. Our work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the specific needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that incorporate cultural context to inform personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of each patient while considering their cultural backgrounds.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns and promote resilience.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive holistic care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health incidents, employing de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, various treatment modalities, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that meets legal and ethical standards, including progress notes in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings, actively contributing to discussions around client care and cultural competency training.
• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health by pursuing continuous education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse array of patients, focusing on culturally and linguistically diverse populations, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrants. Your ability to deliver tailored therapeutic approaches is critical to our mission—helping these individuals navigate their mental health challenges and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A deep understanding of various mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy with culturally responsive methods.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and an ability to remain calm and effective during challenging scenarios.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse client base.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to team goals.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting providing mental health therapy.
• Experience working with marginalized communities, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and competence.
• Prior exposure to a community health clinic or outpatient setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
