Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and empathetic assessments of clients’ mental health conditions to formulate precise clinical diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s needs. Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions, including individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to each unique situation. Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients in acute distress, developing immediate action plans and coordinating care if necessary. Maintain meticulous and confidential client records that encompass treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards in mental health practice. Engage actively with interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to create comprehensive and holistic care pathways for clients. Educate clients and their support systems on mental health awareness, viable treatment alternatives, and local resources, advocating for their rights and addressing any barriers they encounter. Commit to personal and professional development by participating in ongoing education, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest practices in mental health therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, families, and groups from varied cultural backgrounds. Clients may present a spectrum of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. You will be expected to adapt your therapeutic approach to respect individual differences and promote inclusivity in treatment. Qualifications A valid license as a Mental Health Therapist in Texas, with credentials such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required. Proficient clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to identify and address a variety of mental health disorders effectively. A minimum of two years of related experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a track record of successful client outcomes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues. The ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards and professional integrity in mental health practice. Preferred Experience Previous experience working with underserved communities and diverse population groups. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies to facilitate remote service provision. Experience in specialized therapy modalities is a plus.
