The ideal candidate will be a licensed therapist with expertise in social work, marriage and family counseling, or professional clinical counseling. Key Responsibilities Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical consultations, sharing insights and best practices to enhance client outcomes. Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation as mandated by regulatory standards and organizational policies. Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments, formulating treatment plans tailored to the needs of your clients. Provide individual and family counseling services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities while adapting strategies to reflect the cultural backgrounds of the clients served. Manage a caseload effectively, integrating case management duties and providing relevant community resources to support the overall health of clients. Patient Population / Client Focus This role specifically focuses on addressing the unique mental health needs of Black birthing families, an underserved subgroup in many healthcare settings. You will work directly with clients facing various emotional and psychological challenges, employing culturally sensitive practices to ensure trust and therapeutic rapport. Your work will directly impact their pregnancy, postpartum experiences, and overall mental health. Qualifications Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. Current and active licensure in one or more of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and build relationships based on respect and understanding. Strong organizational skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Preferred Experience Experience in providing mental health services within community health settings, particularly with marginalized groups. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems to document care and interact with clients. Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques for treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders.
