This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting through our telehealth platform, allowing you to connect with students and clients from the comfort of your workspace. While most interactions will take place online, you will have the opportunity to engage with students and faculty in various wellness initiatives and mental health awareness campaigns throughout our Marblehead community.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial intake assessments through telehealth platforms to evaluate the mental health needs of students and guide them toward suitable treatment options.

• Provide individualized short-term counseling services tailored to address a range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, and academic stress.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapeutic group sessions that focus on key topics such as coping strategies, stress management, and personal growth.
\n
• Work collaboratively with academic advisors and residential staff to ensure comprehensive support exists for students navigating academic and personal challenges.

• Actively participate in outreach initiatives, including mental health advocacy campaigns and wellness workshops designed to enhance community awareness and accessibility to mental health resources.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the utmost professionalism in every patient interaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on college students who rely on our Community Center for mental health support. You will be instrumental in addressing their unique challenges, helping to create a safe and inclusive space for personal development and academic achievement. Your insights and interventions will help foster resilience and well-being among these young adults.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A minimum of a Master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related discipline.
\n
• Strong familiarity with the specific mental health challenges faced by the college student demographic, backed by evidence-based practices and therapeutic models.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that allow for effective engagement with students and collaboration with campus partners.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload efficiently and effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a university counseling center or with adolescent populations is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with telehealth tools and systems, as well as proficiency in using technology to facilitate remote counseling.
