Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including preliminary interviews and historical data collection to inform treatment protocols.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional states through established screening tools and clinical interviews.
\n
• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans suited to their unique needs, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing best practices in psychotherapy to foster a safe and productive environment for healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients requiring additional medical support.

• Proactively identify, address, and mitigate behaviors that may hinder client recovery, ensuring that clients remain on track with their treatment objectives.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and caregivers, helping them understand and manage the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse array of clients seeking support for varying mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your compassionate approach will be pivotal in creating a trusting and therapeutic relationship, essential for effective treatment. You will help clients set and achieve personal goals, working diligently to enhance their mental well-being and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of national examinations such as the NCE or NCMHCE is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, ideally with a focus on telehealth services.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems; experience with AVATAR is preferred.

• Familiarity with current best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong skills in written and verbal communication, allowing clear and effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine sense of empathy are essential for building rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with patients who have co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as a background in addiction counseling.

• Understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
