Step into a rewarding role as an Education Assistant supporting students from Pre-K to grade 6. This full-time contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. You'll partner closely with educators and specialists, assisting students with a wide range of needs—including behavioral and mobility requirements—in a dynamic, inclusive school setting near Boston, MA.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working in a classroom or educational setting as a paraprofessional or education assistant
- Comfort and proficiency in supporting students with various disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive, proactive approach
- Ability to provide behavior and mobility support as directed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework or certifications a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Offer hands-on assistance to students to enhance learning and participation
- Support classroom management and foster a positive, structured environment
- Implement behavior plans and mobility accommodations under supervision
- Help students with daily academic tasks, transitions, self-care, and group activities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to meet individual student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
