About the Role
The Company is in search of a Global Chief Compliance Officer to spearhead and define its global compliance strategy. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the compliance, regulatory, and licensing processes, ensuring adherence to industry-leading standards across all geographies. This pivotal role involves managing the full global compliance function, leading licensing processes, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of global regulations. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be responsible for designing and implementing customer onboarding and ongoing compliance processes, including AML and sanctions, and will be the primary point of contact for regional regulators. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years' of compliance experience, with a focus on AML, sanctions, and financial crimes within a financial services or FinTech environment, and a legal or law degree is preferred. Applicants for the Global Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should possess a strong background in compliance, particularly in the areas of AML, sanctions, and financial crimes. Experience in scaling the international expansion of a FinTech startup and a proven track record of building and overseeing complex compliance programs are essential. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a global team, and a proactive, independent, and driven work ethic. Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite products is necessary, and experience in the crypto industry is a plus.
