Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.35 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and campus contacts. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
