Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, night shift; every other weekend requirement

Highlights:

• Float to multiple Intensive Care Units including Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics
• Exposure to advanced critical care including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, and heart)
• Epic charting system utilized across all units
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• Dynamic environment with opportunity to expand critical care skills across diverse patient populations
• Travel nursing assignment with local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience with flexibility to float across multiple ICU specialties
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (required)
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, cardiovascular procedures, and post-cardiac surgery care
• Competency with critical care equipment including temporary pacers, external ventricular drains, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio compliance
