Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand client needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.

• Deliver individual therapy sessions to adult clients, focusing on pain psychology and managing psychological symptoms associated with chronic pain.

• Lead engaging psychoeducational classes aimed at empowering individuals with knowledge and coping strategies.

• Provide brief individual therapy for clients in the Functional Recovery Program (FRP), actively tracking their clinical progress.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the detox center to ensure holistic care, making referrals to additional modalities when necessary.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans diligently in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to inform clinical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have sustained injuries in the workplace and are experiencing psychological distress such as anxiety, depression, and trauma related to pain. Our clients often face the dual challenge of mental health and chronic pain, necessitating a compassionate and integrative approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and active California Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW).
