We are seeking a detail oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, supporting month end close, and contributing to efficient financial operations in a fast paced, growing organization
Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will support day to day accounting activities and financial reporting while ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records. The position will work closely with the accounting and finance team on general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, reporting, and other accounting initiatives.

This is a fully remote position open to qualified candidates in the United States.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month end and year end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjusting entries, and supporting documentation.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash application activities as needed.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper account classification.
• Maintain organized accounting schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits, tax related requests, and other financial compliance activities.
• Support process improvements, internal controls, and accounting system initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting and billing related questions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month end close.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong sense of ownership, confidentiality, and professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Experience in staffing, professional services, consulting, technology, or other multi client environments.
• Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or billing operations.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or progress toward an accounting certification.
