Special Education Paraeducator – Hollingsworth (Day Treatment) Starting Date: Aug 24, 2026 Location: Hollingsworth Academy, Vancouver, Washington Schedule: 7 Hours per Day (7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., 30‑minute unpaid lunch) on regular days and designated full Wednesdays; 4.5 Hours per Day (7:40 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.) on Wednesdays and Middle School early‑release days. 190 days per year (180 student days / 10 holidays). Position Status: Program Support Position Duration: Permanent Classification Group: Paraeducators Class III Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range; experience credit may apply for prior similar occupational service. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic long‑term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Eligibility for FSA, DCAP, HSA, FPFSA (w/HDHP) and other supplemental benefits Employer‑employee funded retirement benefits through the Department of Retirement Services (DRS) Paid holidays, sick, vacation, personal, religious and bereavement leave; additional negotiated leave under the collective bargaining agreement Paraeducator Employment Requirements At least 18 years old and hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent Meet one or more of the following: Pass the Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment (ETS test/PRAXIS) with a score of 455 or higher Hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university Earn 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100‑level or higher from an accredited college or university Complete a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council Upon hire, new paraeducators will complete state‑required training offered through Evergreen School District.
