Accounting ManagerWonderWorks Orlando is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team! Our Accounting Managers are a vital part of our financial operations, ensuring WONDERful experiences for our guests by working behind the scenes to meticulously track revenue and expenses, audit invoices, and balance accounts!Responsibilities:Adhere to the accounting policies & practices of WonderWorks Accounting ManualReconcile all subsidiary ledgers to general ledger ensuing accurate control of sales reports posted to the general ledger balanced daily and monthly. Experience with Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payables, Receivables, Inventory excel worksheets.Track revenue and all expenses in accounting softwareAudit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approve for paymentBalance credit cards from POS to accounting software and bank statementsProcesses accounts receivable and prepares accounts payableMaintain spreadsheets, ledgers, records, and other databasesReconcile bank statements, with the reconciliation of cash deposits and credit card deposits on a timely basis.Prepare analysis and summary of accountsCalculate and manage month end cost of sale for admissions, retail, including food & beverage departments. Experience with month end close, ensuring accuracy of monthly entries into QuickBooks.Prepare daily deposits, over/short reports, and bill consignment accountsEnter approved invoices into accounting software for payment and issue checks for signatureProcess vendor automatic payments and online paymentsPrepare journal entries of sales reports in accounting softwareReview Point of Sale (POS) system-generated daily sales reports for accuracyProcess deferred income from exhibit vendorsProcess credit card disputesInvestigate problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for billsResearch and process chargebacks, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, bad checks and other itemsAssist with projects as requestedDetermine work procedures, prepare work schedules, expedite workflow, and assist in hiring and training of accounting assistants in the cash room as directed by the General ManagerPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to comprehend verbal and written communicationStrong mathematical skillsMicrosoft Office skills requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 3 years of experience with quickbooks and microsoft excel5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAssociate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferredPrevious Accounting experience in the hospitality or themed entertainment industry preferredProlonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the work areaAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsAbility to work any scheduled shift including holidays and weather conditions as neededJob Types: Full-time, Salary range starting at $50,000 based on experience.WonderWorks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
