About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Care Surgery PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Acute Care Surgery Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document patient information and clinical data using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete all required facility orientation modules within the designated orientation week timeframe
• Work a minimum of two holidays per contract period
• Adhere to every-other-weekend (EOW) scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Two professional references required
• Must be available to adhere to natural nail policy as required by the facility
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate — no radius restrictions apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
• Familiarity with acute care surgery patient populations
