RN Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) provides skilled nursing care in a Level 4 Trauma Center environment. This role involves managing acute patient care for an 8-bed ER with approximately 30 patients daily. The RN is responsible for patient assessments, emergency interventions, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care. Strong certification and experience in trauma and emergency care are essential. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to emergency patients in a Level 4 Trauma Center setting.
• Perform patient assessments, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, including EM boarded physicians on site 24/7.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
• Respond effectively to trauma situations and acute emergencies.
• Participate in continuous education and training related to trauma and emergency nursing.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in emergency nursing or trauma care preferred.
• Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency intervention skills.

• Experience working in a Level 4 Trauma Center or similar emergency care environment.
• Familiarity with rural hospital emergency care dynamics.

• Work is performed in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency room setting.
• Must be able to respond quickly to trauma and emergency situations.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including physicians available 24/7.

• Night shifts in the Emergency Room.
• Shift assignments based on hospital scheduling policies for ER nursing staff.
