RN Emergency Department

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) of a Level I trauma center, managing a diverse patient population including boarder patients. The role requires expertise in emergency nursing with at least two years of ED and telemetry experience, along with travel ER experience. The RN will perform patient assessments, emergency interventions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. This position involves working rotating day, evening, and night shifts with blocked weekends for a 17-week assignment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York State only.
• Minimum of two years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Previous travel ER experience required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system in emergency or inpatient settings within the last year.

• Must be able to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts.
• Floating to other units as needed.
• On-call, callback, holiday, and charge nurse responsibilities as required.
• ER environment does not support first-time travelers.

• 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Rotating day, evening, and night shifts with blocked weekends.
• Shift assignments determined by unit needs during the 17-week contract period.
