Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; float as needed

Highlights:

• Contract length: 13-26 weeks available
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• 24 hours of unit orientation with hospital orientation scheduled during week one
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Multi-level care unit including isolation area; stepdown patients cared for by dedicated stepdown staff
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in blood product administration, heparin and insulin drips, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, PCA pumps, peripheral line care, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must be available to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignments and report during catastrophic events or disasters as needed
