QC Analytical Chemist - Group Leader
$35 - $38 per hourEurofins
Eurofins PSS seeks a QC Analytical Chemist Group Leader to conduct GMP testing of pharmaceutical materials and lead a team of 3–5 chemists in Albany, NY. The role involves method development, regulatory compliance, and analytical chemistry across multiple techniques, with supervisory responsibilities for team development and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing and review of pharmaceutical samples per approved methods and compendial standards
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3–5 analytical chemists with focus on growth and performance
- Support method transfer activities, OOS/OOT investigations, and reference standard qualification
- Ensure laboratory compliance with GMP regulations and quality standards across all testing operations
- Serve as primary point of contact for client and internal stakeholder communication on testing results and project status
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 3+ years GMP/GLP testing experience; or Master's with 1+ years experience
- Minimum one year hands-on experience with Liquid Chromatography, Conductivity, and Titration
- Proficiency with at least two analytical techniques: NMR, GC, ICP-OES, IR, RI, UV-Vis, or TGA
- Deep knowledge of GMP regulations, ICH guidelines, and 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211
- Demonstrated leadership experience through training, mentoring, or supervisory roles
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Compensation: $35.00–$38.00 per hour based on education, leadership, and related industry experience
