Project Coordinator

Role Description

This position is responsible for leading and executing multiple IT projects, including the procurement of resources and database management. As a Project Coordinator, you will assist with the development of policies, procedures, best practices, and standards. The qualified candidates will lead, coordinate, communicate, integrate and be accountable for the overall success of one or more projects, ensuring alignment with critical customer requirements.

  • Perform duties associated with Project Management (PM), configuration management, requirements management, coordinating and managing the activities of project team members.
  • Recruitment of qualified resources to meet the needs of the project and/or the customer.
  • Serve as an authority in the development and implementation of projects.
  • Write project descriptions including explanations of the business need for such projects, the project milestones schedule, dependencies, stakeholders/beneficiaries, technical approach, risks and risk mitigation strategies, and other required documentation.
  • Manage IT projects throughout the full project life-cycle, including the planning, requirements development, design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Assure timely resolution of conflicts and/or administrative problems to avoid delays in achieving goals.
  • Develop statements of work.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for customers and clients.
  • Lead and perform hands-on analysis of the business and technical environments.
  • Supervise implementation activities.
  • Ensure that project plans and schedules are established and maintained.
  • Ensure that deliverables are completed timely and accurately.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and ensure that appropriate project controls are instituted.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required or its equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with MS Office and project management software.
  • Ability to properly manage time while executing multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • The selected candidate must be a results-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
