The Pyramid Care Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will provide a range of mental health services to clients through a telehealth platform, focusing on their emotional and behavioral well-being. Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while having a significant impact on the lives of your clients. Our use of telehealth technology means that you will conduct sessions via video conferencing, enabling flexibility for both therapists and clients. You will be equipped with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document progress, manage cases, and develop treatment plans efficiently.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and continuous evaluations of clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health during telehealth sessions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual therapy and group therapy sessions that encourage participation and foster a safe space for clients.
\n
• Consistently monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians to create cohesive care plans.
\n
• Proactively follow up with clients to ensure continuity of care, addressing any barriers to treatment and supporting their recovery journey.
\n
• Educate and guide family members and caregivers in managing mental health challenges while maintaining a focus on their loved one's wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and addiction-related disorders. Your approach will be grounded in compassion and empathy, creating a client-centered environment that promotes healing and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for tracking patient data and facilitating efficient workflow.
\n
• Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication, essential for effective therapy and collaboration with clients and team members.

• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in mental health as informed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a telehealth environment is a plus, as it helps in adapting to remote care delivery effectively.

• Experience in working with populations struggling with both physical health issues and addiction-related challenges.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their impacts on mental health treatment plans.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and methods.

Compensation and Benefits\n
