Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite, requiring you to travel to patients' homes across the Miami region. You will establish meaningful relationships with clients while providing excellent care tailored to their specific needs. Choose your own hours within a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for both professional flexibility and the ability to balance your personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their home environments to assess their specific rehabilitation needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as exercise prescription, manual therapy, and the application of modalities to reduce pain and enhance mobility.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and response to interventions meticulously, ensuring all records meet regulatory standards.
• Regularly reevaluate patient conditions and modify treatment goals and approaches as necessary based on their progress.
• Assist patients with the selection and fitting of assistive devices as needed for daily living and mobility support.
• Provide training and guidance to patients, their families, and caregivers on effective physical therapy techniques and the proper use of equipment.
• Stay updated on current best practices by attending workshops, reading relevant literature, and participating in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who are recovering from orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-operative care. You will work with a diverse clientele that includes both children and adults, allowing you to apply various therapeutic techniques tailored to individual developmental stages and needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Familiarity with word processing and electronic health records systems.
• A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced home care environment.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a home care setting is valuable, it is not mandatory. Recent graduates with a strong interest in community-based therapy and rehabilitation are encouraged to apply, as we offer mentorship and support for new therapists.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 - 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
