Legal Billing CoordinatorOur client, a well-established NYC insurance defense firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Coordinator to join their team. This hybrid role is based in midtown Manhattan and reports directly to the Firm Administrator.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, attorney hours)Oversee billing operations and supervise billing team to ensure timely processingManage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and client paymentsReconcile multiple escrow and operating accounts in QuickBooksSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesAdvise attorneys and staff on timekeeping and billing practicesPartner with leadership by delivering financial insights for decision-makingCoordinate bonus/billing data with payroll and senior managementQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field)5+ years of accounting experience in an insurance defense firmStrong proficiency in QuickBooks, Clio Manage, and Microsoft OfficeSolid understanding of GAAPProven ability to manage teams and work in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented, organized, and proactiveCompensation & Benefits:Salary: $115K–$165K + bonus401(k) with match (after 1 month)Health, life, and vision insuranceGenerous PTO
