Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to assess the physical needs and capabilities of pediatric patients.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address each child's unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy sessions, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, focusing on enhancing mobility and reducing pain.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress to ensure effective communication with family members and other healthcare providers.
• Actively refer patients and their families to additional services and resources as necessary, including social services and community programs.
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic interventions, home programs, and discharge planning to support ongoing recovery.
• Regularly consult with physicians and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss best practices, share insights, and stay updated on industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on providing therapeutic services for pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents. You will work closely with children who have diverse needs, including developmental delays, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Understanding the unique challenges faced by these young patients allows you to implement empathetic and effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• A valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) License.
• A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Strong background working with pediatric populations, demonstrating an ability to connect with children and their families.
• A comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pediatric hospital medicine practices.
• One or more years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or similar setting.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and other specialized modalities.
• Experience in developing home exercise programs tailored for pediatric patients and their families.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in pediatric physical therapy and ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

Effective Movement Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
