Work Environment

This position will be performed in a home care setting throughout Sarasota, allowing you to engage with patients in their natural environments, maximizing comfort and progress. The schedule is flexible, with opportunities to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, or four 10-hour shifts, ensuring work-life balance while meeting patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess mobility challenges and movement impairments.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized therapy plans aimed at achieving patients' therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to enhance patient care and track progress.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for maintaining accurate patient documentation and progress notes.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. As a Physical Therapist in our home care environment, you will work one-on-one with clients, allowing for personalized attention and customized therapeutic interventions that can lead to faster recovery times and improved functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure is necessary.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience, particularly in outpatient or home care settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and rehabilitation techniques is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
