Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic, onsite rehabilitation facility in Sarasota, where collaboration plays a vital role in patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, consisting of 40-hour shifts that allow for a consistent and structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Managing a diverse caseload that may include orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients.
• Providing education and support to patients and their caregivers on treatment plans and rehabilitation goals.
• Documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery.
• Fostering a positive environment through exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and improved patient outcomes.
• Meeting minimum utilization goals and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the therapy department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work primarily involves providing rehabilitative care to a diverse population, including individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. You will engage with various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric patients, tailoring approaches to meet their unique rehabilitation requirements. Your goal will be to restore functionality and enhance the quality of life for each individual, ensuring they can return to their daily activities with confidence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and team members.
• Proficient in word processing and computer skills for documentation and treatment planning.
• A commitment to building strong therapeutic relationships with patients to enhance recovery outcomes.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of practical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in specialized fields such as pediatrics, orthopedics, or sports medicine will be particularly valued. Compensation and Benefits
