Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Periscope Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will involve:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and improve functional abilities as per each client's unique needs and goals.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing care strategies effectively to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Conducting thorough assessments of each client's physical capabilities through diagnostic testing, enabling informed decisions regarding their treatment plans.
• Evaluating client home environments to identify barriers to rehabilitation and providing recommendations to enhance independence.
• Administering a range of therapeutic modalities, including manual exercises, traction, and therapeutic massage, tailored to each client's individual requirements.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetics and orthotics as necessary, ensuring that clients achieve maximum mobility.
• Documenting all clinical evaluations, care plans, therapy sessions, and progress notes to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team discussions, sharing insights on client care, and contributing to treatment planning.
• Providing education and support to clients and families regarding effective use of therapeutic devices and overall treatment strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, handling documentation efficiently to uphold organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve serving a diverse population requiring home therapy interventions, including geriatric clients, individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and patients experiencing rehabilitation post-injury. Qualifications

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and in good standing with local regulatory bodies.
