Your Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the development and expansion of your sales territory. You will actively drive growth, manage existing customers, and identify new business opportunities with a lot of responsibility and scope for shaping your own work.

Your tasks include:

• Expansion and development of market position through active and intensive sales presence with the customer
• Responsibility for strategic customer development based on potential and demand analysis as well as the derivation of goal- and result-oriented sales measures
• Technical product and application consulting with a focus on product optimization, operating costs, energy efficiency, and the development of customer-specific solutions
• Consultation on service, maintenance, and stockpiling concepts for sustainable customer retention
• Recovery of customers currently supplied by alternative suppliers in the spare parts business
• Management of sales negotiations including technical and commercial contract review
• Coordination and control of internal interfaces to ensure efficient offer and order processes
• Development and expansion of a service infrastructure in the sales area in close cooperation with the customer service as well as the integration of external service partners

Your Profile

Technical university degree or technical vocational training, ideally in mechanical or plant construction

Several years of experience in the field of sales in a manufacturing company or in a technically demanding environment

Industry knowledge, e.g. in mining, food & beverage, wastewater or oil & gas, is an advantage

Ability to independently manage sales activities based on economic key figures

Structured, goal-oriented working method as well as convincing and self-assured communication

Strong team skills, high motivation and hands-on mentality

Closing strength and very good negotiating skills at different levels

Fluent German and good English

Safe handling of common Microsoft Office applications

High customer orientation, engagement, and willingness to travel
