Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and craft personalized treatment plans addressing specific needs.

• Implement individualized strategies focused on trauma recovery, enhancing patients' resilience through evidence-based approaches.

• Utilize recognized therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) within sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that promote emotional processing, coping mechanisms, and pathways to healing, ensuring a safe space for open discussion.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to provide integrated care and continuity for patients tackling complex trauma.

• Deliver crisis intervention support upon request, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in high-stress situations to assist patients in immediate need.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, stress management techniques, and available community resources to support ongoing recovery.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards while keeping abreast of regulatory compliance.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to share insights and improve trauma-informed practices continuously.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population largely comprises individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Each patient's journey is unique, and our therapists provide individualized support to address their specific experiences and needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Connecticut.

• At least 2 years of experience post-licensure, preferably in a clinical setting focused on trauma care.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care, knowledge of trauma-related disorders, and familiarity with effective resilience-building techniques.

• Experience with trauma-focused therapeutic modalities, and a proven ability to create meaningful therapeutic alliances with patients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for compassionate patient interactions and effective communication with team members.

• A calm demeanor under pressure, able to manage crises while providing supportive patient care.
\n
• Technical proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Commitment to working collaboratively within a diverse, multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in community health settings, particularly in environments focusing on trauma care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
