Human Resources Generalist

\n

New York, NY | Hybrid | Up to $120K

\n

A well-established mid-size NYC law firm is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its team. This is a broad HR role supporting attorneys and professional staff across payroll, benefits, leave administration, performance management, onboarding, recruiting, and HR operations.

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

• Administer payroll and employee changes using ADP Workforce Now

\n

• Manage benefits, open enrollment, and employee benefit inquiries

\n

• Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, disability, and parental leave

\n

• Coordinate attorney and professional staff performance review cycles

\n

• Manage onboarding, orientation, and new-hire documentation

\n

• Support attorney and professional staff recruiting as needed

\n

• Maintain HR records, reporting, compliance, and employee status changes

\n

• Partner closely with HR, Finance, attorneys, and professional staff

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience

\n

• Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred

\n

• Experience with payroll, benefits, leave administration, and general HR operations

\n

• Performance management and recruiting experience

\n

• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred

\n

• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

\n

• Bachelor's degree required

\n

• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail

\n
