Work Environment\n

This role is primarily a remote opportunity, allowing you to operate from the comfort of your own home while making a significant impact in the lives of students. However, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that includes educators, mental health professionals, and administrative staff all committed to providing exceptional support and fostering an inclusive community for students. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent routine conducive to both personal and professional balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Act as a liaison between families, students, and outpatient providers to ensure seamless communication regarding student mental health.

• Engage with insurance companies to manage pre-certifications and navigate utilization management processes effectively.
\n
• Collaborate on discharge and aftercare planning, ensuring that students receive ongoing support post-treatment.
\n
• Provide therapeutic meal support, guiding students to develop healthy relationships with food and body image.
\n
• Deliver empathetic and affirming care that recognizes and respects the unique intersectional identities of each client.
\n
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes regularly in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
\n
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual counseling focused on enhancing coping strategies and resilience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents presenting varying degrees of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role is crucial in identifying their needs, providing therapeutic interventions, and fostering a supportive environment that encourages participation in both academic and social settings. You will collaborate with educational staff to integrate wellness initiatives into the school’s culture.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of California.

• Proven clinical and diagnostic skills with experience in mental health assessment preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
