CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR II (CLASS CODE 2203)

Job Overview Inspectional work to secure compliance with municipal laws and regulations applicable to safe, adequate, and healthful housing construction and conditions; and related work as required. Responsibilities Inspect and enforce compliance with municipal laws and regulations related to housing construction and conditions. Perform related work as required by the Code Enforcement division. Qualifications Either a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience involving heavy public contact, general compliance, investigatory, or enforcement experience. Some positions may require a valid driver’s license. Applicants hired into this job classification between April 1 2025 and March 31 2027 are exempted from the requirement to reside in Orleans Parish. A qualifying written examination and a rating of training and experience, weighted 100%, are required. Current employees in the classification of Code Enforcement Inspector I are exempt from the written examination.
