Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at The Still Point, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate client needs, mental health status, and personal histories.
\n
• Developing, implementing, and managing individualized treatment plans through evidence-based psychotherapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other trauma-informed approaches.

• Maintaining organized and timely clinical documentation in accordance with California state laws, HIPAA regulations, and insurance requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for all treatments.

• Participating actively in case consultations and team meetings to facilitate collaborative care and sharing of best practices among clinical staff.
\n
• Engaging in continuous professional development through clinical supervision, ongoing training sessions, and team-building activities to enhance your therapeutic skills.

• Maintaining the highest ethical standards in client interactions and upholding confidentiality, thereby establishing trust and rapport with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist in our practice, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families, who are facing varying emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. Our focus on inclusivity means that you will often engage with underserved populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals, providing a vital service that addresses their unique mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, with a clean standing.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, or social work is preferred.

• A minimum of 1-2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is essential, though associate-level candidates may be considered in specific circumstances.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and an understanding of mental health best practices.

• Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and familiarity with virtual therapy platforms such as SimplePractice and Zoom.

• Fluency in additional languages is a plus and can enhance communication with clients from varied backgrounds (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi).

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with a variety of therapeutic populations and presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma.

• Previous work in community mental health settings or group practices is highly desirable.
