Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers seeking a rewarding, contract position for the 2026–2027 academic year. This in-person role, located near Gurnee, IL, is full-time (approximately 33.25 hours per week) and centers on providing quality instruction and support to students with diverse needs. Choose between two specialized positions: Life Skills Self-Contained or Instructional/Resource.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please be prepared to provide a current copy during the application process.
• Experience in a special education classroom environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for students of varying abilities.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills to effectively interact with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students in accordance with their IEP goals and needs.
• Maintain a well-structured classroom focused on life skills for the Self-Contained role, or provide resource support with adaptive instruction for the Instructional/Resource role.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote growth and achievement.
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the IEP process.
• Participate in professional development as required.
