Volunteer Fire Cadet: Hands-On Training & EMT Path

The City of San Bruno is offering an exciting opportunity as a Fire Cadet in California. This one-year program is a volunteer role where Cadets receive hands-on training in firefighting skills and respond to emergency calls, providing Basic Life Support. Candidates must be committed to 24-hour shifts and complete EMT certification and Firefighter Academy requirements. Upon finishing this program, participants meet foundational training for obtaining Firefighter II certification with the California State Fire Marshal’s Office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
